This week I flew back to Auckland to visit my family and catch up with some friends. It was meant to be a normal ‘first-time-back’ visit after moving over to Brisbane earlier this year. However, I thought why not make it super special and let it coincide with my birthday. And what a treat. I have had the best birthday week ever. I feel so very loved and pampered beyond expectation. I caught up with very dear friends, ate at my favourite restaurants and got spoilt rotten by my family.
Today I had a few girlfriends over to my parents’ house for something that was meant to be a high tea but we ended up drinking more champagne than tea, and consumed way too much sugar. I had the best time baking in the kitchen alongside my mum and spending time with such special friends. My mum has an amazing Royal Albert tea collection, so I wanted to add a couple of photos of that (although the photos did not do it any justice). There are also a couple of photos of their cats, Tiger Anne and Saucy Cinnamon who, needless to say, are lapping up the attention (overload) received by me.
It’s hard to believe I’m flying back home again tomorrow leaving all of this behind again, but I’m missing my husband and dogs like crazy!!! So a very bittersweet moment for me…
Those cats are absolutely gorgeous!
