about me

I am a mother, wife and D-I-Y junkie. I love baking and enjoy writing so combining the two made sense. Then life happened and I discovered I had lots of other things to write about as well, so my little baking blog turned into sharing ideas and experiences, food related or not :)

I blinked and 5 years flew by. You melt my heart with every "love you mum", I can see how deeply you feel, how you pick up on other's emotions and think about things beyond your years. The way you teach things to your little brother and show him the way. My heart grows bigger for you with every passing year. Happy birthday my sweet Hadleigh πŸ’™πŸ’™

This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of donating a cake through a charity called Cake Angels. They help organise volunteers to bake cakes for children with lifelong or terminal illnesses to help them celebrate their birthdays. A seriously worthy cause πŸ™Œ And it's not just for professionals or even cakes, if you can bake scones you can be a Cake Angel too!
